Do you all remember that episode of Living Single when Regine went out & spilled a drink on every girl in the club that had on the same dress!? lol
Well how do you think I felt when I was scrolling Instagram & saw another fashion blogger wearing the SAME DRESS I had posted!?
I was the complete opposite from Regine lol..I was like O M G so cute!!!! *inserts heart eyes emoji lol
I immediately DMed Semaj (thelifeofflossy) to do a collab. See, this is just ONE of the many looks that she has slayed. Everyday you can catch her switching it up on the gram. I linked her page so make sure you follow her!
Shoes, Bag, & Jacket all from Forever21.
Some women may be intimidated, but I am inspired. I loveeee to see Semaj & other fashion bloggers. It gives me ideas & inspiration when it comes to fashion & style.
In general & especially as women we must learn to collaborate versus compete. We can learn so much from each other as well as grow our brands. Too often people are too concerned about being first or worried about someone stealing their idea. What’s for you is what’s for you and that’s that. PERIODT. (*in my City Girls voice.) When you put out good energy, are genuine, & just an overall good person you will see good things happen in your favor. So don’t be overly concerned about being “done wrong” & be more concerned with just doing what’s right.
& if you really know me you know that I LOVE a deal. When I buy something I plan to get the most for my money which means multiple ways to style an item. It’s also a lot of fun to create multiple looks with one item.
I found this dress on sale at Love Culture & it gave me Parisian vibes. So I paired it with a beret that I got from Amazon along with some booties I’ve had awhile from Call It Spring. It’s cold in Dallas so I also paired it with a long sleeved black shirt & a pair of black tights.
This post was so much fun to do! I’ve wanted to collaborate with other bloggers for a while now & I look forward to doing more collaborations soon. Comment below other bloggers you would love to see me work with!
& be sure to check out Semaj’s blog XOXOFlossy!
